Edyta Borkowska has been involved in research and studies on genetic changes, which accompany urinary bladder carcinoma formation and progression for the last decade (e.g., funded by the Minister of Science and Higher Education: grants no.2 PO5C 07630 and no. 3PO5B 10223). Currently, she supervised the Laboratory of Neoplasm Biology at the Department of Clinical Genetics, Medical University of Lodz in Poland. In 2011, she obtained a fellowship from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for a one-year study visit at the Oxford University on such matters.

molecular pathways in bladder cancer, genes expression mutations, polymorphism, chromosome aberrations, environmental and occupational risk factors
